Libertyville, IL – Greater Libertyville Soccer Association announces its arrival of the FC 1974 Elite Boys teams into the Elite Academy League (EAL). The Elite Academy League (EA) was launched to provide enhanced player development opportunities for Elite Academy clubs inside a National Youth Platform extending best in class standards and providing club an Elite Platform to perform as a club. The Elite Academy (EA) League launched in 2020 with the start of two divisions, the Southwest and Northeast with over 30 clubs in the boys age groups of U13-U19. Here in 2021 we will launch 8 Divisions across the country furthering Elite player development in the United States providing top competition and an Elite player development platform guided by the clubs and for the clubs.

“FC 1974 are excited to be accepted into the Elite Academy League to enhance our boys programming. This platform will provide a structure that will continue to elevate our teams through team competition and foster player development,” said GLSA Executive Director, Michael Zovistoski.

The Elite Academy League is composed of member clubs that represent Elite competitive clubs in their market and have shown to be of the standard and will benefit from being part of this larger platform. By unifying clubs from within the conferences, we have maintained the defining standards of previous elite platforms with a collective approach to making sure the platform sits atop the youth landscape.

The Elite Academy League will begin play in the fall of 2021 and will encompass the U13 – U19 age groups.
