FC 1974 Libertyville, the competitive program within the Greater Libertyville Soccer Association is extremely excited to announce a new partnership with Aleksander ‘Sarke’ Saric and B1keeper Goalkeeping Academy to develop the Fc 1974 goalkeepers. The B1keeper Goalkeeper Academy has been present for 10 years and since, has held many camps around the World from Serbia to Canada.  The Academy now primarily focuses on goalkeeper trainings along with winter and summer keeper camps in the Chicagoland area. With the support of our coaches, the academy is looking to build the next generation of USA national team goalkeepers, starting within our local community, with the plan for expansion across the whole country in the future. The Academy is driven by the core values of experience and excellent professionalism powered by our Head coach of Goalkeeping Aleksandar Saric.

Sarke's credentials include UEFA "A" coaching license and is also accredited as a goalkeeper coach with the Spanish and Austrian Football Federations. Sarke holds a degree of Bachelor of Sports Science and Football Trainer from the Belgrade Sports University. Recently, Sarke was the head goalkeeper coach for the Chicago Fire FC. His experience includes working with top MLS goalkeepers, such as Sean Johnson, Patrick McLain and Matt Lampson. As a goalkeeper coach for the 2017 MLS All-Star team, he also worked with Tim Howard (Colorado Rapids, US MNT) and Stefan Frei (Seattle Sounders). Additionally, Sarke worked on the youth level as a goalkeeper coach with Serbia's youth national teams including u-15, U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-20. He was a goalkeeper coach for the Serbian U-20 national team which won the 2015 FIFA World Cup in New Zealand. His protégé, Predrag Rajkovic, was awarded the Golden Glove award, for the tournament's best goalkeeper.

‘We are absolutely thrilled to have B1keeper and Sarke as a critical partner in the development of our goalkeepers. We believe that with his knowledge and experience of the goalkeeping position and of the game, our goalkeepers will attain a higher level of play. Sarke will strengthen our keepers in all areas, from the last line of defense and to first line of attack,’ said Michael Zovistoski, Executive Director.

The club is now in the process of working out goalkeeper evaluation nights and training schedule with B1keeper to begin this coming week.
