Spring 2012 Recreational Leagues for Preschool-9th grades, and H.S. boys, will still be accepting late registrations from Feb.1st through March.
For league details, go to the top "Recreational" page, then drop down to "Youth Programs". Drop down to "Register", for our on-line registration. Click on the Left Red "REGISTER" button (not the login button) to bring up the 2012 registration.
You can also use the Register/Login Button on the left menu to register for the 2012 spring season. Click on "Recreational Program", then click on the Left Red "REGISTER" button (Not the Login button) to bring up the 2012 registration. All registrations are done online.
RecPlus Program - Update

GLSA is proud to announce it's new RecPlus Program for the Sping 2012 Recreational season. This program will replace the previous years Developmental Program offered to introduce the club Recreational players to the competitive Program. Michael Zovistoski, Executive Director, said, "This is an exciting new program where players who are planning to join the Competitive Program can get easily acclimated to the culture of the travel side of the club. The training the players will receive will be excellent."
The Program has been well received by the Club Membership - we have had enough response to create teams at 5 ages - 2nd and 3rd grade girls and 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade boys. There is limited availability for roster spots remaining at the 2nd grade boys and 3rd grade boys and girls levels. If interested, please contact the office immediately.
GLSA Releases New Curriculum to Staff

The Greater Libertyville Soccer Association is excited to release it's 2012 Player Development Curriculum for the Premier and Select Coaching Staff. The 64 page document is a compilation of season long curriculum, training objectives, techniques, moves, training sessions and activities, and a vocabulary section for players and coaches. The Club has endorsedand studied the newly created US Soccer Youth Curriculum and has extracted components applicable to our players and environment. "I am very proud of the Curriculum and the Directors that put the document together. It is very well rounded and extensive and should go a long way assisting in player development for the players within the GLSA Program," said GLSA President, Larry Sachs. The document was formulated from other well respected soccer periodicals, as well as origional ideas and playing philosophies from the Directors of the GLSA Program.
