Staff Coach Email: colmex93@aol.com BIO: At the age of 12 years, Memo was recruited to the first professional youth soccer academy of Colombia. He played four years 2nd division and was moved up to professional at the end of the 70s and played two years at the professional level. From 1986 to 1990 Memo played in New York with teams that were made up of ex-professional players from South America. From 1990 up to 1999 he played with the Waukegan league and the Chicago league ( Hispanics teams of Clasa,CASL). Memo started his coaching career in 1999 with adult teams in Waukegan and Chicago. From 2001 to 2004 he coached at the youth level with the Lindenhurst Soccer Club. Memo was offered a coaching position at GLSA in 2004 and has trained teams from U12 to U14 simce. Memo also works in the ECLIPSE- GLSA summer camps and in the Soccer Academy where he teaches the Brazilian footskills (a class which has helped to improve the skills of players from GLSA and the surrounding areas).Memo resides in Lindehurst,IL with wife Linda and two children- son (Ramon) 14 years old and daughter (Estefania) 10 years old. Education: Associate Degree in Physical Education from Colombia, S.A.
