BIO:

Attila Schmidt grew up in Akron, Ohio and is a graduate of Lake Forest College (Lake Forest, IL) where he played four seasons of NCAA division three men’s varsity soccer.

He was a three year starter and was voted team captain his final two seasons. He was also a three time All-Midwest Conference Selection which included two “First-Team” selections as a midfielder.

After starting every game his final three seasons and 49 of his final 50, he finished his collegiate career with 20 goals, ranked ninth in team history in career assists, and 15th in career points.

Prior to joining GLSA at the beginning of the Fall ‘09 season, Schmidt had spent one year as the Head Coach of two teams for the Lincolnshire Lightning. He now lives in Chicago, Illinois.

Schmidt currently holds a USSF National “D” License and an NSCAA National Diploma
