GLSA Soccer Academy-Fall Session I

“Play the game you love, and love the game you play”

GLSA will continue to offer programs to all players interested in developing their game.  These programs are designed to be compliments to the players’ soccer experience and are taught by our licensed and certified GLSA Professional Training Staff.  Contact Program Director, Derek Niepomnik, at CompEdgeSoccer@yahoo.com with questions.

 

    • Soccer Academy shirts will be issued, players are asked to wear black shorts and socks.
    • Please make sure to have proper footwear, bring a soccer ball and water to each session.

 

LITTLE KICKERS

A creative and fun approach will be used to introduce age appropriate soccer fundamentals.

Dates: Sept 13th – Oct 25th        Fee: $84/7 sessions           Location: Indoor Sports Complex

Ages: 3- 4 & 5 - 6 year olds              

Classes:  Monday or Thursday

Morning: 10:00-10:50 am  3 & 4 year olds  /  11:00-11:50 am  5 & 6 year olds

Afternoon:  1:00-1:50 pm  5 & 6 year olds  /  2:00-2:50 pm   5 & 6 year olds

** In the event classes are not full staff may combine them together

 

ADULT  KICKERS

Want to have a great workout and learn what the GLSA youth soccer players learn each and every week.

Dates: Sept 13th – Oct 25th        Fee: $84/7 sessions           Location: Indoor Sports Complex

Ages: Adults 18 and older             

Classes:  Tuesday or Thursday

Morning: 10:00-10:50 am            Afternoon:  1:00-1:50 pm

BRAZILIAN WAY TECHNICAL TRAINING

Want to have great first touch? Learn the technical skills that are world renowned. Coach Memo Marin will teach participants tricks, fakes, feints and proper techniques sure to mystify the opposition. This class will inspire players to continue to use these skills throughout their playing careers.

Dates: Sept 10th – Oct 29th   (No class 10/8)               Fee: $90/6 sessions                     Location:  LTSC: Field17

Classes: Fridays - 4:30-5:30: 7-8 years           5:30-6:30: 9-11 years             6:30-7:30: 12-14 years

 

SCORING & GOALKEEPING

Players will spend the majority of this class striking balls on goal.  The act of scoring requires a great deal of technical and psychological skill that will be taught in these sessions.  Players will learn proper shooting technique through fun activities that will inspire them to score goals!  In conjunction with the scoring, we offer a goalkeeper train program to get solid technical work done and then incorporate their skill training instantly in a playing situation.

LIBERTYVILLE PREMIER JUNIORS

Interested in becoming a future soccer star?  Players can expect to learn the fundamental skills necessary to succeed on the soccer field from the professional staff of the Libertyville Premier Teams.

  • 50% spent working on skill development through fun activities
  • 50% spent demonstrating these skills through small sided games (3v3, 4v4, etc.)

Dates: Sept 10th – Oct 29th   (No class 10/8)               Fee: $90/6 sessions                    Location:  LTSC: Field 17

Classes: Fridays - 4:30-6:00 - 6-12 years

 

SPEED AND AGILITY

Explosive power, speed, quickness, change of direction, footwork; this class will explore the physical attributes of the game of soccer.  Before coming to the coaching staff, Coach Colin worked with the Chicago Bears in a speed and agility training capacity.  He will bring that knowledge and run dynamic footwork sessions to increase the athletic ability of the class participants.  Please wear running shoes or indoor shoes for this class, no cleats, no shin guards necessary, bring soccer balls, and water.

TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

SMALL GROUP TRAINING (4 to 6 players)

This is a great way to get in extra skill development during the week. All players are asked to sign up as a group of 4 to 6 players.  Each session will be run by a GLSA Professional Staff coach. Classes will be have technical focus for the first portion and then finish off with a small sided games to incorporate the techniques learned at each session.

Fee:                 $100 per player, for (6) 1 hour sessions

Location:      Libertyville Township Soccer Complex

Ages:              u9 thru high school ages

# of Players:   4 minimum - 6 maximum players (must register together for these sessions)

 

INDIVIDUAL TRAINING (1 to 3 players)

Are you looking for some individualized training with a GLSA Professional Staff coach. Sessions with the GLSA staff will be very technically focuses with lots and lots of repetitive exercise training to improve player technique and muscle memory for an activity.

Technique will be corrected at the moment of activity to assure players understand the proper mechanics of the session's technical work. We offer technical focused sessions in scoring, dribbling, passing - receiving from the ground / air and goalkeeper training.

Dates:               Scheduled with GLSA Professional Staff and player(s)

Fees:     6 sessions

              ~ $240 per player (1 to 1 player-coach ratio)

              ~ $180 per player (2 to 1 player-coach ratio)

              ~ $130 per player (3 to 1 player-coach ratio)

Location:   Libertyville Township Soccer Complex Fields

Ages:   u9 – u18

            Length of each session: 1 hour

LITTLE KICKERS SATURDAYS

This program will give your Little Kicker a chance to play in a small sided game after a quick and fun warm up with their Professional GLSA staff coach.  The GLSA staff will create teams based on age and gender and players will receive a game schedule prior to the season beginning.

Dates:  Nov 6th – Dec 18th    (No class 11/27),         Registration Forms Due: Nov 1st.       Fee:  $90 for 6 sessions Ages: 4-8 yrs old            Classes:  Saturdays, 8-10am, 1 hour classes, schedules sent after forms are received

Location:  Indoor Sports Complex, more information will follow once teams are made.

BRAZILIAN FUTSAL PLAY

Play this fast paced skill oriented game.  Find out how the best players in the world came to be.  Play 4v4 on basketball courts.  Staff will separate teams daily.  Players will receive game schedule prior to season beginning.

Dates:  Nov 30th - Dec 16th (Tuesdays and Thursdays)                                Ages:   7-14          Time Slots:   4:15pm – 9:15pm

* Schedule will be set once final player numbers are determined and all families will be emailed

Fees: $90 for 6 games; additional $25 fee if not pre-registered by Friday Nov 22nd
