Columbus Day Weekend

Welcome to the 10th Edition of the Libertyville Columbus Day Octoberfest. This youth soccer tournament will be run in the same fashion as our previous Octoberfest Tournaments, a premier level tournament where only the top teams that apply will be accepted. This tournament is for U8-U14 boys U8-U19 girls.
The tournament is hosted at the Libertyville Township Soccer Complex, Illinois’ most premier soccer facility, also the site of Illinois State Cup, the Polish Amateur National Championships and Kick It's 3v3.

Women’s World Cup News from China—a familiar face! Our very own GLSA Tournament Medical Director, IBJI physician Chris Amann, has been very busy lately. In addition to private practice, consulting as a team physician for area high schools and his very important Libertyville Tournament responsibilities, Amman serves as the USA Women’s National Team Doc. He was photographed here escorting Abby Wambach from the field for treatment of her scalp injury during USA vs. North Korea in first game of the world cup. ******************* Mandatory Paperwork is DUE in the GLSA Office September 20th, 2008. ******************* Registration will be held at the Libertyville Indoor Sports Complex located just northwest of the outdoor complex on the corner of Route 45 and Route 137 (Peterson Road) on Friday, October 10 from 3-9 pm and Saturday October 11 from 7am -12pm. There will be NO on-site registration. All U10 age groups will play to a championship; there will be no participation awards at this age (only U8 and U9 will receive participation awards).
