                                                                                                                                                                                                 Must be 12 yrs. of age.

12-13 yr. old are required to have a parent or guardian present during their assignments.

                                                                        12-15 yr. old, need a work permit - see instructions below.
    Work permit forms need to be dropped off or mailed to the office to get scheduled for refereeing for the spring 08 season. 

  Referees must be at least 12 years old.  Per Illinois Child Labor Laws* , referees must be at least 12 years old and all referees under age 16 must have a work permit issued by their school or by the Regional Office of Education.  Work Permits are valid for one year from the date of issue.  

 To obtain a work permit:
  1. Complete the "Letter of Intent to Hire"
from GLSA
  2. Gather the child's Social Security card and proof of age (birth certificate)
  3. Make an appointment with your school Principal to obtain the permit.  Please DO NOT make an appointment with your Principal until you have your documentation together.  Work Permits are good for one year from date of issue.

Libertyville Indoor Sports Complex - upstairs meeting rooms 3 & 4 No cost.  MUST attend one of the two Microsoccer Referee Clinics scheduled at the Libertyville Indoor Sports Complex.  Your parent or guardian should plan to attend the last 30 minutes of the clinic.  You must bring a completed Referee Information Form with you to the clinic.  Must pre-register by e-mail.

GLSA Offices This is the make-up clinic for microsoccer referees who missed the two earlier clinics.  Your parent or guardian should plan to attend the last 30 minutes of the clinic.  Please pre-register at:  referees@glsa.org
Referee Field Clinic

 

Libertyville Township Soccer Complex--Field 14 This clinic is designed to improve referee skills under simulated game conditions.  Although primarily for USSF certified (Patched) referees, microsoccer referees may attend.  Please wear your referee uniform.  There is no cost.  Pre-registration is by email.

"Advanced Recertification"

This recertification clinic is for USSF Grade 8 referees with at least 5 years of experience and at least 20 years of age.  The clinic will be held at the Libertyville Sports Complex.  Please go to the IYSA website www.iysa.org to register.
