Program Details – Spring 2012 RecPlus Program
GLSA truly values the development of the total soccer player and it shows through our player development curriculum, which focuses on teaching a player that having solid technical fundamentals will carry a player through their playing years. All players must be committed to attending training and games, as well as developing skills on their own. As we continue to build the club, GLSA will offer a new program where players who are interested in playing in the Competitive Program can participate without the time, travel and financial commitment, but get a true understanding of the GLSA Competitive culture through training.
GLSA 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade RecPlus Program
All GLSA trainings are covered by a professional staff coach
Registration Deadline - January 15th
Here is how it works: Players will Register for the GLSA Recreational League online and get into the GLSA player database. Players will then send the attached packet and fee to the GLSA Office. Once the Registration period is complete, players will be notified of what team they are on, who their coaches will be, and when training will take place. Most training sessions are on either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs, held at LTSC with either 4:30 or 6:00pm start times. Players will play together on the same team within the GLSA Recreational League and participate in the GLSA Libertyville Cup Memorial Day Tournament at LTSC. Teams will be trained by a GLSA Staff coach with assistance from the Volunteer Coach. Recreational games will be coached by the Volunteer Coach, Tournament games coached by Premier Staff Coach (USYS Passed Coach).
Why is this beneficial? Parents and players will be able to test out the GLSA Competitive Program without the financial costs that go along with Competitive soccer and without the time commitment that goes along with traveling. All games will be played at LTSC for a minimal cost and all teams will receive age appropriate training from GLSA Premier Professional Staff Coach.
